The active ingredients include a nourishing dose of shea butter, and some sweet almond oil, as well as other natural products including Centella asiatica. We should note that many of these ingredients are not the most natural, Centella asiatica is possibly not safe during pregnancy, as not enough is known about its use. Potassium Iodide in high enough doses may cause swelling of the salivary glands, and rashes, as well as a metallic taste in the mouth.

Dosage

Apply liberally daily onto clean, dry skin, twice a day. Depending on the severity of the scarring, and size of the area, you may want to adjust and use more or less on these areas.

Overall the Glyderm product does seem to have some strong points; the product is fairly well rated in forums and so on. Also and the price is fairly low. The overall impression of Glyderm’s stretch mark cream though is a negative one.

Also little information is available from Glyderm about important considerations. A quick web search tells me that some of the ingredients inside shouldn’t be used when pregnant, but we can’t see any information relating to pregnancy on their website. It really would be nice to have some more information about this cream to make a better judgement.

It’s hard to nail down a precise daily dosage, and it isn’t really necessary to. The dose will depend on your size, the amount of skin which is affected, and how many parts of your body need attention. The directions advise that you apply twice daily to freshly cleaned skin, by massaging gently.

Potential Side-Effects

There is really little risk with the Épique Beauty formula. You should always read the ingredients before you apply though, and if any irritation occurs you should immediately discontinue use.

Unlike other oil based options we’ve tried before, the stretch mark cream by Epique really does sink into the skin, which is great! Plus it means you’ll never find greasy residue rubbing off onto your clothing. And it does come complete with a money back guarantee.
However, while they clearly state their guarantee, there’s no indication anywhere of how long you have to return it. This might be a little worrying if you’ve been left dissatisfied. As with any cream, not everyone seems to have the desired results.

We were really impressed by the online community around the Anela range, and the stretch mark cream in particular. Most customer reviews praise the cream for being effective and fast acting, and this certainly can’t be said for every product on the market.
